About the Role

Vercel is scaling fast, and the Senior Manager, Accounting will be a critical hire as we build out the financial infrastructure that supports our global growth and path to the public markets. You will own end-to-end accounting operations for Vercel's statutory accounting across current and future entities. This role is fully remote from your home office in India, with regular overlap hours with the US team.

What You Will Do

• Lead the full-cycle monthly and quarterly close for international entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with local and US GAAP.
• Guide accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and intercompany transactions.
• Own statutory compliance, including FS preparation, audits, TDS/TCS returns, and coordination with tax advisors and corporate secretaries.
• Partner with the US-based Controller and CAO on global close, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Implement and evolve SOX-aligned controls and internal accounting policies.
• Lead close process improvements, identifying automation and AI opportunities to simplify workflows.
• Own the audit relationship for international entities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, FP&A, and Revenue Operations.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff as the team grows.
• Support US GAAP accounting and M&A activities, including due diligence and integration.
• Lead the setup of new international entities.
• Monitor changes in local GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash, banking, treasury, and foreign exchange accounting matters.

About You

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in team management.
• CA (Chartered Accountant) designation required; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Deep expertise in technical accounting (IFRS and US GAAP) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
• Proven track record managing or supporting Big 4 / top-tier audits.
• Experience at a high-growth technology or SaaS company with multi-entity structures.
• Process-minded with experience leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency.
• Clear, confident communicator capable of working in an async-first, cross-cultural environment.
• Self-starter with a builder's mindset and high degree of ownership.
