About Wonderly

Wonderly is a closed-loop, end-to-end system designed to self-improve our customers’ revenue. We serve the home service industry ($1.3T) and consistently double a new customer’s revenue within 90 days. We make all of our AI and software completely free, only getting paid when our customers make real money. Our mission is to help small businesses thrive, enabling them to achieve their financial goals and live the American dream.

While traditional SaaS sold tools and many AI companies claim to sell outcomes like tasks done or leads booked, Wonderly focuses on what truly matters: revenue. We are the only AI company that promises and delivers revenue outcomes.

Our 70-person team, primarily in PDE, spent over a year building in stealth. Our thesis is that to control the end result (revenue) and deploy AI fast and cheaply, you must own the entire stack—not just the 'sexy' AI agents, but also the 'unsexy' system of record and application layers. We built every software a home service business needs from scratch, replacing multiple existing platforms like ServiceTitan, Squarespace, Ringcentral, Jobber, Square, and Hubspot. We also built every necessary AI agent, including:

  • AI marketing
  • AI receptionist
  • AI voice
  • AI sales outreach
  • AI sales coaching
  • AI follow-ups
  • AI 3D design
  • AI finance
  • AI quoting
  • AI collections

All these agents are embedded within our system with native data access, allowing us to deploy dozens of production-ready Agents to customers in under 24 hours with no FDEs, integrations, or data cleaning.

Wonderly is the most outcome-driven business model because we’ve proven our system and AI Agents effectively drive revenue. We don't sell a dream; each of our 10+ core AI Agents helps improve customer revenue by 5-20%.

We have achieved product-market fit (PMF) and have a clear moat with deep industry knowledge, built by a team of 70 A-players over 18 months, putting us at least two years ahead of competitors. We believe Wonderly has the potential to be a $100B - $1T outcome in the massive North American home service market ($1.3T). We’ve raised over $50M from top-tier investors and have $20M a year in free cashflow from another product line (Motion), all of which is invested into Wonderly.

About the Hiring Manager

Hi, I’m Bishop, Head of Operations at Wonderly. I am direct, intense, and deeply committed to finding the truth. I transitioned from FP&A to building operations, driven by a desire to be at the heart of creation rather than just analysis. I thrive working with high-agency, low-ego individuals who can handle intensity and ambiguity without needing a perfect playbook.

The Role

As Operations Director, you will run the day-to-day operations of our inside sales team, which is the front line for how our contractor customers win jobs. Our team works leads generated for contractors, qualifies them quickly, and books onsite appointments on their behalf. Every cold lead represents lost revenue for our customers and for us. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the team behind these bookings is consistently staffed, trained, and performing.

This means you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the team: schedules, coverage, weekend rotation, and attendance.
  • Hiring and onboarding new representatives, ensuring they become productive quickly.
  • Listening to calls and coaching representatives on areas for improvement.
  • Tracking key metrics (speed to lead, contact rate, booking rate, show rate) and taking action when performance dips.
  • Directly addressing performance issues, including difficult conversations.
  • Documenting processes to ensure team efficiency and reduce dependency on any single individual.
  • Identifying and flagging broken processes for systemic fixes, rather than just working around them.

What Makes This Role Different

Unlike most operations manager roles where you inherit an established team and a fixed playbook, here, the team is growing, and the playbook is still being written. You will actively shape how the team is run, not just maintain existing operations. If you identify a better approach to coverage, coaching, or onboarding, you can propose it on Monday, and we'll be testing it by Wednesday.

You will work directly with me and Victoria, who leads Sales Operations, gaining direct insight into how your decisions impact our customers’ revenue.

Backgrounds That Tend to Work

People from the following backgrounds tend to thrive in this role:

  • Running an inside sales or appointment-setting team.
  • Serving as a team lead or sales floor manager who coached representatives daily.
  • Working in sales ops or support ops at a fast-growing company where you managed people, not just dashboards.
  • Experience with home services or remodeling companies, specifically running teams that booked in-home appointments.

Backgrounds we care less about:

  • Managers who have never sold or booked on the phone themselves.
  • Operations or reporting roles without direct people management responsibilities.
  • Account management or customer success roles without a team of your own to manage.

What matters more than the resume:

  • You have managed a team and been responsible for its numbers.
  • You can listen to a call and accurately identify what the representative should have done differently.
  • You are capable of having difficult conversations, saying what needs to be said, and moving forward constructively.
  • You notice performance issues before they become evident in the numbers.
  • You are organized and ensure the team remains organized without constant prompting.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes.

Expectations

  • 60–70 hour work weeks.
  • Coverage that aligns with lead inflow, including some weekends.
  • Real ownership of the team within your first 2 weeks.
  • You will own the team’s numbers, which we will review together regularly.
  • The scope of the role will evolve constantly as the team grows.
