Product Manager - Trust & Safety

About EverAI

EverAI is building the future of AI companionship, operating as one of the top 15 largest and fastest-growing AI companies in the world. With 50 million users in 2 years, our flagship platform is the world's largest AI companionship platform, governed by our proprietary moderation system, EverGuard—an internal AI designed to ensure everything we build is safe, ethical, and human-first.

We are a hardworking team of ~100 people with leadership boasting strong entrepreneurial experience building and scaling web products from 0 to IPO.

Your Role

We are looking for a Trust & Safety Product Manager to own the product and technical delivery of our compliance and safety initiatives across our platforms.

You will turn safety requirements into effective product features, moderation capabilities, third-party integrations, and measurable improvements. Working closely with Compliance, Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Customer Support, you will help us identify risks earlier, build safeguards into new features, and continuously improve how our safety systems perform.

This is a newly created role within our Product team, working directly with our CTO, Michael Monin, and our Legal & Safety Lead, Maxwelle Sokol. Our platform serves adults and permits lawful adult content, and we are looking for someone who can navigate sensitive, context-dependent issues thoughtfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Legal Product Strategy: Translate safety policies, legal requirements (e.g., EU AI Act), incident findings, and user feedback into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and engineering work.
  • Moderation Technologies: Own the product side of improvements to our in-house moderation systems, including our proprietary LLM technology EverGuard, partnering with Engineering and AI/ML teams.
  • Third-Party Partnerships: Lead the technical and product lifecycle of third-party safety partnerships from evaluation to rollout and ongoing performance management.
  • Dashboards & Quality Assurance: Establish dashboards and recurring QA to proactively identify emerging issues and ensure T&S measures work as intended.
  • Red Teaming & Testing: Own testing for how moderation systems and product safeguards respond to deliberate misuse and difficult edge cases.
  • T&S Reviews: Run dedicated T&S reviews for new and existing features, identifying foreseeable misuse and appropriate safeguards early in the product design phase.
  • Incident Follow-through: Coordinate product and engineering responses to significant safety issues alongside incident management, policy, and user support.

Qualifications

  • Data-Driven Product Decisions: Experience running A/B tests, experiments, or deep-dives to shape product roadmaps and align with legal/ethical standards.
  • Content Moderation & AI Guardrails: Solid understanding of efficient and scalable moderation strategies, including automation, ML, human review, and reporting.
  • Legal/Safety Experience: Background working closely with trust, safety, and compliance requirements for consumer-facing products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Fluent in English with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with engineering, legal, operations, and support teams.
  • AI Fluency: Comfortable leveraging and experimenting with AI tools autonomously.
  • Ownership & Ambiguity: Autonomous self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and takes full responsibility for outcomes.
  • Platform Comfort: Fully comfortable building products based on uncensored models and content, including NSFW material.

What We Offer

  • Flexible Contract: B2B preferred with a focus on long-term impact.
  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere (Spain).
  • Paid Time Off: 4 weeks (20 working days) of PTO per year.
