Senior Product Manager, Tenant Scale - GitLab

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager on the Tenant Scale team within Infrastructure Platforms, you will shape how GitLab supports large, complex customers as they scale across departments, projects, and regions. You will focus on making tenant data more portable, scalable, and ready for a unified deployment model across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Product Direction: Lead the strategy for tenant scale and unified deployment capabilities, moving concepts into actionable deployment models.
• Define Requirements: Establish the necessary capabilities for hosting tenants within a unified deployment unit.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to translate infrastructure constraints into clear product direction.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with product peers across the platforms organization to ensure consistency.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address needs regarding isolation, regional deployment, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Facilitate Tradeoffs: Lead discussions on scalability, tenant encapsulation, and platform unification.
• Strategic Planning: Translate complex technical concepts into product plans and documentation to align distributed teams.

What You’ll Bring

• Domain Experience: Proven experience managing product work in infrastructure, scalability, platform architecture, or cloud services.
• Technical Credibility: Ability to work effectively with engineering teams on system design and platform constraints.
• SaaS Knowledge: Deep understanding of multitenancy, horizontal scalability, autoscaling, and production readiness.
• Communication Skills: Strength in explaining complex infrastructure topics to diverse audiences.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to turn ambiguous technical problems into clear, actionable product strategies.
• Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in a distributed, cross-functional environment.
