About Render
At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms. Trusted by over 7 million developers, we recently raised $100M in Series C funding to accelerate our vision.
About the Role
We are evolving from a platform for solo developers into the backbone for fast-scaling teams. We need a Product Designer to take our complex, multi-service architecture and turn it into a cohesive, simple system. This is a craft-focused IC role where you will own the surfaces developers depend on when the clock is ticking and systems are under pressure.
You Will:
- Make multi-service systems legible: Design views that visualize service connections and dependencies.
- Design system-level observability: Create high-density interfaces for logs, metrics, and events that allow for rapid troubleshooting.
- Coordinate deployment: Design safe, cross-service deployment and rollback models.
- Own product states: Design for "unglamorous" moments like build errors and empty states to guide users to success.
- Drive first-run experiences: Optimize the path from signup to first successful deploy to build immediate user trust.
- Shape the future: Contribute to a design-led discovery track through weekly critiques and concept explorations.
We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or complex high-stakes products.
- Exceptional craft: Obsessive attention to typography, spacing, motion, and interaction feedback.
- Strong information architecture skills; ability to turn complex relationships into intuitive experiences.
- A systems-thinking approach: You design the entire user journey, not just individual screens.
- Fluency in developer language (CI/CD, services, deployments) and a desire to understand user mental models.
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly under fast launch velocity.
