At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
Applying to Render
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Render's infrastructure platform. This is a role for someone who wants to define what a modern cloud platform looks like in an era where AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built and run.
You'll drive the technical and strategic direction for Render's core platform, working directly with infrastructure engineering to shape architectural decisions. You’ll engage with Render's customers and our product development teams to develop a deep understanding of their needs and build conviction about where the platform needs to go next.
What You'll Do
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the foundational primitives upon which everything at Render is built. Your scope spans compute & orchestration, network topology, traffic, and routing features, and data storage infrastructure.
- Drive prioritization across Render's platform investments, balancing the leverage of foundational capabilities against near-term product and business needs and negotiating those tradeoffs effectively.
- Partner deeply with Engineering & other Product teams to shape the technical direction of Render's core infrastructure, ensuring architectural decisions optimize for long-term reliability, performance, and extensibility.
- Develop a strong, opinionated point of view on how Render's platform primitives need to evolve to serve AI-native builders, from compute and orchestration to storage and runtime.
- Set the standard for how product teams build on Render's platform, providing clear guidance, boundaries, and abstractions that make it easy for other product leaders and external customers to ship with confidence.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in Product Management, with the majority spent on developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
- Technical Depth & Developer Empathy: Deep empathy for both internal engineering teams and customers, alongside the technical capacity to make sound architectural tradeoffs in collaboration with engineering.
- AI Understanding: General knowledge of how AI is being used by modern teams. Bonus if you have a strong perspective on the future of agentic memory management and compute workloads.
- Strategic Execution: A proven track record of taking ambiguous, cross-cutting platform problems and turning them into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience as an infrastructure engineer.
- Experience building AI agents or infrastructure.
