About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager, Observability to join our Product team. You will own the strategy and roadmap for Vercel's observability products, including Runtime Logs, OpenTelemetry tracing, and Drains. You will partner closely with engineering and design to help customers understand and debug what they run on Vercel.

Note: This role is hybrid in New York, NY. If you are located beyond a commuting distance of our offices, this role is fully remote.

What You Will Do

• Own the strategy and roadmap for observability products, from telemetry ingestion to debugging surfaces.
• Turn ambiguous signals—support escalations, customer interviews, and usage data—into a sequenced plan with clear tradeoffs.
• Partner with engineering on scoping and design on making dense telemetry data legible.
• Define the native-vs-integrate line for vendors like Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, Honeycomb, and New Relic.
• Work with Enterprise customers and Sales/Solutions on observability needs.
• Own pricing and packaging decisions in collaboration with Finance and GTM.
• Write launch narratives, including changelogs and blog posts.
• Define and track success metrics.

About You

• 5+ years in product management, with experience in developer, infrastructure, or data-intensive products.
• Technical proficiency: You can read a trace waterfall and reason about cardinality, sampling, and retention costs.
• Comfortable owning a domain end-to-end.
• Data-driven: You write your own queries to answer usage questions.

Bonus Points

• Experience at an observability, APM, or monitoring company.
• Experience shipping AI or agent-facing developer tooling.
• Experience owning consumption-based pricing for technical products.
• Active Next.js or Vercel user.
