About the Role

We're looking for a Visual Designer to join our Website Design Engineering team. You will shape Vercel's web presence, including vercel.com, nextjs.org, product launches, and Ship. You will design pages, systems, and interactions that get built and shipped. Beyond the site, you will define how the Vercel brand shows up in the world—from launch moments and event experiences to motion, illustration, and brand-partnership surfaces.

This is a visual design role for a systems-thinker who sweats the details. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with design engineers who turn your designs into production code. While you are encouraged to get hands-on with code if you wish, it is never a requirement.

What You Will Do

• Define the visual language of Vercel's most-seen surfaces and set a creative direction for the team.
• Create memorable moments: hero animations, launch films, event environments, and brand-partnership work.
• Own the creative vision end-to-end, from concept to finished result on the real web.
• Set the craft bar for typography, motion, and detail.
• Move fluidly across mediums including web, motion, illustration, 3D, and identity.
• Influence our design system, Geist, through high-standard work.

About You

• 8+ years of design experience with a distinctive eye and original ideas.
• A portfolio spanning brand systems and multiple digital/physical mediums, anchored by strong, shipped web work.
• Meaningful hands-on range in motion, 3D, illustration, environmental design, or interaction.
• Systems-minded: you design components and patterns, not one-offs.
• Experience shaping launch moments or events under real deadlines.
• Ability to thrive collaborating with engineers and understanding the web as a medium.
• Experience with developer, B2B, or SaaS products is a plus.
