Role Purpose
Wasabi's Commissions Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing commission plans and ensuring that all monthly earned commissions are calculated accurately and on time. This role is an integral part of the Sales Operations team, assisting with quota planning and reviewing rep performance. The Commissions Analyst will also be responsible for managing CaptivateIQ.
The ideal candidate has a history of calculating commissions for a large number of employees, experience developing commission plan templates, and experience implementing or using a commissions software tool. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the SaaS commission model and bring fresh thinking to how we structure and evolve our plans.
Responsibilities
Commission Operations
- Manage monthly commission calculations for employees worldwide, including distribution of statements and assistance with commission disputes.
- Complete account reassignments within the CRM for new employees.
- Manage the commissions tool, CaptivateIQ.
Planning & Strategy
- Create and draft commission plans for new employees and future planning cycles.
- Assist in the annual commission planning exercise, estimating quotas by region and role and drafting plans designed to drive revenue.
- Work with the Sales Enablement Lead to create Rules of Engagement that align with the Commission Plans.
- Work with Sales VPs to review rep performance periodically, creating performance KPIs to evaluate team success against plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience, preferably in the technology industry.
- Experience with Salesforce and commission software, such as CaptivateIQ.
- Proficiency with Excel reporting and analysis.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, with comfort working directly with Sales leadership and handling sensitive compensation conversations.
- Ability to work independently, with a hands-on style and willingness to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.
